Ayana

Strategic improvements and expansion to an existing small hotel including a reception area, interior patio with a Koi pond, eleven (11) guest rooms, elevated terrace and hallways. Due to limitations of the existing structure, budget and regulations, a new facade is designed as a lightweight 'mask' of perforated and painted aluminum panels with its own structure for the solar protection from the harsh Southern sunlight, natural ventilation and for a bolder and instantly iconic "presentation card" to maximize the branding of the lodging. It also highlights itself next to the neighboring guest house - Dream Inn (also designed by our firm) - same owners. The design of the 'aluminum leaf's incorporate alternating designs and patterns that alludes to the Lotus flower logo of Ayana. and conforms to the dimensions of standard, available panels which maximizes material and control costs.
