The property fronts the Atlantic Ocean where the coast is receding, resisted by a bulkhead.  Responding to the ecology of the site, with an existing structure, an addition was proposed over the present footprint.  With the existing house as a “base”, the “glass box” embraces the spectacular ocean views and recognizes the seasonal occurrence of rough seas.

A more recent version was developed to reduce costs.
